Liz Crabbs, CPA, founded Ascend Business Solutions LLC to support small business owners and individuals. With 20+ years of experience in both public and private accounting, Liz understands that the role of a CPA extends beyond simply "crunching the numbers." It also involves advising on operations and human resources, navigating complex industry nuances, and overseeing household wealth.
Liz is dedicated to building long-lasting relationships by offering personalized and progressive accounting and tax services. She believes that consistent and transparent communication is crucial for success. By providing exceptional personal service, Liz strives to enhance her clients' financial knowledge. Liz lives in Frederick, Maryland, with her husband, Ryan, who is also a CPA, and their daughter, Lenny, a natural-born artist with a deep love for animals. The Crabbs family has deep roots in Frederick, spanning over four generations.
Liz has held positions in both private and public accounting, including roles such as CFO, Controller, Tax Manager, and Owner, among other senior positions. She earned her Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from the University of Maryland and her Master of Science (MS) degree in Auditing from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business. She is a graduate of the MACPA Leadership Academy and a current member of the MACPA and AICPA organizations.
Liz finds fulfillment in both her personal and professional achievements. When she’s not serving her clients, she enjoys exploring local adventures, playing and enjoying music, gardening, volunteering, serving on committees and boards, organizing, and nurturing her relationships with family and friends.
